Salt Spray Chambers are used to perform the Salt Spray Test also known as Fog Test. Salt Spray Test is an accelerated environmental corrosion test in which specimens/metals are exposed either continuously or intermittently to a fine mist of salt-water solution used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of paints, coatings, or electrical connections.

Test duration depends on the corrosion resistance of the coating; the more corrosion resistant the coating is, the longer the period in testing without showing signs of corrosion. Or the Salt Spray test is a standardized test method used to check corrosion resistance of coated samples. Coating provides corrosion resistance to metallic parts made of steel, zamak or brass. In the chamber during the test, the conditions are constantly maintained.

Water proof structure; exists between the chamber cover and chamber body and ensures that there is nosalt spray overflow.

Salt solution filter system & non-crystal nozzle; these equipped system ensure the evenly salt spray distribution and freely adjustable settlement.

Controller; high precision PID temperature controller with temperature sensitivity + 1o C. PID controller, a Proportional-Integral-Derivative controller, controls the temperature by decreasing the average power supplied to the heater as the temperature approaches the set point.

Insulation; it’s a process of retardation or the reduction of heat loss or heat gain for energy conservation. Obromax Chamber provides cellular insulation that is through polyurethane foam.

Heating; desired positive temperature is provided through stainless steel sheathed air heaters, these heaters do not affect the test specimen directly as they are placed in conditioning plenum proving indirect heat.
